I appreciated the review of my film Nuestros desaparecidos (Our Disappeared) by Louis Werner in the August 2009 issue. Unfortunately it contains some historical inaccuracies that need to be addressed.

The reviewer says that Admiral Emilio Massera, une of the three members of the junta that took power in 1976 in Argentina, was never brought to justice. Actually he was tried and convicted in 1985, then covered by an amnesty in 1990, re-arrested in 1998 for kidnapping babies (one of the more sinister activities that he commanded), and thereafter charged with numerous crimes. After a stroke in 2003 he was declared incapable to stand trial. The review then attributes an infamous quote mentioned in the film to Massera, even though I do not name the author.
