Digital Projects for the Public (NEH)
Scope: The National Endowment for the Humanities
seeks applications for the Digital Projects for the Public
announcement to support projects that interpret and
analyze humanities content in primarily digital platforms
and formats, such as websites, mobile applications and
tours, interactive touch screens and kiosks, games and
virtual environments.
Deadline: June 10, 2020.
Funds: $1.5 million for up to 16 awards: $30,000 for
Discovery grants, $100,000 for Prototyping grants and
$400,000 for Production grants.
Eligibility: Colleges and universities; nonprot
organizations; and state, local, special district and Native
American tribal governments.
Areas: All Digital Projects for the Public projects should:
present analysis that deepens public understanding of
signicant humanities ideas; incorporate sound humanities
scholarship; involve humanities scholars in all phases of
development and production; include appropriate digital
media professionals; reach a broad public through a
realistic plan for development, marketing and distribution;
create appealing digital formats for the general public;
and demonstrate the capacity to sustain themselves.

Preservation and Access Education
and Training (NEH)
Scope: The National Endowment for the Humanities
seeks applications for the Preservation and Access
Education and Training announcement to support
the development of knowledge and skills among
professionals responsible for preserving and
establishing access to humanities collections.
Deadline: June 11, 2020.
Funds: $2.2 million for up to six awards of up to $350,000.
Eligibility: Colleges and universities; nonprot
organizations; and state, local, special district and Native
American tribal governments.
Areas: NEH said awards help the staff of cultural
institutions, large and small, obtain the knowledge
and skills needed to serve as effective stewards
of humanities collections. Awards support projects
that prepare the next generation of preservation
professionals, as well as projects that introduce heritage
practitioners to new information and advances in
preservation and access practices.

Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement
Grants Program (DOJ)
Scope: The Justice Department’s Bureau of Justice
Assistance seeks applications for the FY2020 Paul
Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Grants Program
to improve forensic science and medical examiner/coroner
services, including services provided by laboratories
operated by states and units of local government.
Deadline: June 19, 2020.
Funds: Approximately 20 awards of up to $250,000.
