A joint meeting of the NBER's Development Economics Program and BREAD (Bureau for Research and Economic Analysis of Development) was held November 22-23 in Cambridge. Oriana Bandiera and Robin Burgess of the London School of Economics, Research Associates Melissa Dell of Harvard University, Edward Miguel of the University of California, Berkeley and Dean Yang of the University of Michigan, and Program Directors Seema Jayachandran of Northwestern University and Benjamin A.
