Detecting Early Signs of CELLULAR DAMAGE.

PositionBrief Article

Screening tests that detect the earliest signs of cellular damage leading to various immune function disorders and cancer have been developed by Immunosciences Lab., Inc., Beverly Hills, Calif. "We believe that Intervention at the earliest stages of cellular damage can prevent many cancers and other immune disorders from progressing," maintains CEO Aristo Vojdani. "With these new tests, we can provide a detailed understanding of the processes in progress in a given subject and provide the clinician with guidance as to which interventions to select. These tests also provide monitoring to assess the effectiveness of a given intervention."

For some time, the data have been building linking the occurrence of certain immune system diseases, such as cancer and arthritis, to damage at the cellular level. Some of this damage is the result of exposure to various chemicals and is, therefore, either preventable or potentially reversible.

The most vulnerable parts of the cell include proteins, lipids, and DNA, the blueprint for the cell. Damage to the DNA can occur either because it no longer can be read correctly (transcription) or copy itself correctly (when a cell divides). This damage can result from molecules attaching themselves to the NDA, a process...
