Amelia Island

Eight hotels and inns on Amelia Island have re-launched the OPack Your Bags for Amelia IslandO program, offering air travelers up to an USD80 room credit for checked baggage fees. The program is in place through Dec. 31, 2009, on stays of three or more nights at participating hotels. Bohemian Hotel

The Bohemian Hotel Savannah Riverfront, the latest luxury boutique hotel by The Kessler Collection in Orlando, Fla., will officially open in Savannah, Ga. on July 24, 2009. A ceremonial ribbon-cutting will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2009. This new property, which is the first new hotel overlooking the Savannah River to open its doors in 17 years, complements The Kessler CollectionOs Mansion on Forsyth Park, located in the heart of Savannah. Copley Square Hotel

Tishman Construction Corporation of Massachusetts has completed the USD 17 million, fast-track renovation of the Copley Square Hotel, built in 1891, for its owner, CapStar Copley, LLC. The hotel, located in historic Back Bay, has been transformed into a modern boutique property. The hotelOs 143 guestrooms have been updated with a contemporary palette of warm, neutral-toned fabrics, dark woods, and chrome, and the bathrooms were fully renovated. Guest rooms feature pillow-top beds, workstations with ergonomic chairs, and free Wi-Fi. Amenities include full-service concierge service, 24-hour complimentary coffee service in the lobby, and a daily OWine DownO hour at 5 p.m. New dining options include the casually elegant Xhale for breakfast and dinner, and Minibar, an upscale martini bar with a full appetizer menu. Additionally, there is a lobby lounge. The hotel partially opened for guests in January and was fully occupied this spring.
