The Upshot, a website of the New York Times, taps Denver as the city Amazon should choose as its second headquarters in an analysis published Sept. 9 and headlined, "Dear Amazon, We Picked Your New Headquarters for You."The assessment starts with 50 contenders and uses Amazon's own eight pages of guidance to gradually whittle the field based on five criteria: current job growth; the "right" labor pool that is large and growing; high quality of life; a place where workers can easily get around --and out of town; and finally, a city where there is space and a willingness to pay to play.
