Dems the Breaks.

PositionPOLITICAL LANDSCAPE

THE RELEASE of Special Counsel Bob Mueller's long-awaited report on alleged Russian collusion with the Trump campaign concerning the 2016 election has the Democrats conflicted. It would be easy to say that their problem is Pres. Donald Trump, but it is more than that. It is true that the President has popularized innuendo and wild speculation; it also seems true that he is a narcissistic liar. He lacks the deportment of what many Americans expect of a president; indeed, he is an individual who may be devoid of nearly all of the redeeming qualities that we have come to expect in our president--but the Democrats' problem runs deeper than simply harping on Trump's personal flaws.

Of course, the Democrats have good reason to be traumatized given the chaotic state of affairs in the nation's capital. Still, many Democrats hold the mistaken belief that Trump's chaotic tendencies are a result of his ignorance. While it is true that he does not read much, certainly is no expert on history, engages in bullying, employs abusive behavior, and embraces self-contradiction, his behavior may not be accidental.

One of the President's famous taglines is, "I love chaos!" This mantra has served him well since...
