Now I'm really getting scared. At first I was amused and intrigued by Senator Obama's candidacy. He is a splendid and inspiring young man. But as the frenzy builds in the post-adolescent female group (I call it the "Elvis factor"), I am increasingly concerned.

And upon reading Matthew Rothschild's Editor's Note in the February issue, I am now alarmed ("Memories of Iowa").

Is this how we progressives pick our candidate for President, just when we actually have a chance of throwing the rascals out?
