Why was Charlotte chosen?

The facilities are modern and its accommodations excellent.

Why were you chosen?

As chief of staff for the 2004 Boston convention host committee, I learned about the inner workings of a convention. As the Democratic National Committee's director of convention planning, 1 worked with city leaders to begin shaping this convention and preparing for an event that would showcase the Queen City and our nominee, President Barack Obama.

What are they saying in Washington about picking Charlotte?
