Defense Alliance gets SBA award.

A U.S. Small Business Administration grant will help Upper Midwest companies looking to break into the field of defense contracting.

St. Paul-based Defense Alliance is receiving $50,000 from the SBA through the 2019 Growth Accelerator Fund Competition, the agency announced earlier this month. The grant money will supplement Defense Alliance's training budget for outreach to startups and entrepreneurs.
