3-4 Air Force Band of the Pacific Holiday Concert

The annual "Sounds of the Season" family concert features Top Cover, belting out rock and country; the Alaska Brass, playing holiday choruses; classical holiday music; and a rumored special appearance by a special guest from the North Pole. Admission is free. Begins at 7 p.m. Groups wishing to sit together should arrive early and enter the theater together. Located at Alaska Center for the Performing Arts' Atwood Concert Hall. 4-7 Fiddler on the Roof

A musical with music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and book by Joseph Stein, set in czarist Russia in 1905. Originally entitled Tevye, Fiddler on the Roof centers on Tevye, the father of five daughters, and his attempts to maintain his family and religious traditions while outside influences encroach upon their lives. He must cope with both the strong-willed actions of his three older daughters--each daughter's choice of husband moves progressively further away from established customs--and with the edict of the Tsar that evicts the Jews from their village. Located at Alaska Center for the Performing Arts Sydney Laurence Theatre. 6 Holiday Train

Enjoy magical caroling, seasonal storytelling and some of the best scenery in Alaska as the Alaska Railroad journeys south from Anchorage to Seward and back. While in Seward, spend time at the Holiday Festival. 6 Holiday Alaska Native Art Market

Holiday shoppers can purchase authentic Alaska Native arts and crafts at the Alaska Native Heritage Center's Holiday Bazaar. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Alaska Native Silver Hand artists from across the state offer baskets, jewelry, beading, masks, carvings, dance fans, regalia and crafts made from grass, baleen, silver, ivory, skins, fur and bone as well as other mediums.
