Debrah Hamilton Named Executive Director of The Business Insurance Foundation, Inc.

* GREENWICH, CONN. -- Ms. Deborah Hamilton, of Greenwich, Connecticut, has been named Executive Director of The Business Insurance Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit organization that serves the risk management and insurance fields. She assumed the office on December 2, 2019.

The Foundation operates in connection with initiatives advocated by Business Insurance, the insuring industry's leading source of news, information and data on risk management, workers compensation and commercial insurance for more than 50 years. The international media hub, commonly called BI, was founded by Crain's Communications in 1969 and today consists of magazines, numerous daily online communications, conferences and a variety of services that reach hundreds of thousands of subscribing professionals each month across the United States, European Union, Middle East and Asia.

As Executive Director, Ms. Hamilton will oversee activities of the Foundation's Women to Watch initiatives and will interface with its worldwide Board. She will be responsible for BI's Annual Women to Watch Leadership Awards in the U.S. and U.K., and she will oversee activities of BI's Insurance Future Leaders Institute for Diversity, Inclusion and Growth - the newly named initiative that was previously known as the D&I Institute.

Ms. Hamilton, who is President and Partner in Hamilton Advisors, a business she co-founded in 1980, is an accomplished financial services leader who has managed the portfolios of many of the nation's top institutions and best-known personalities.
