In 1998, law school grad Betsy Wolfenden and Central Prison death row inmate Michael Fullwood, her pen-pal, launched the nonprofit organization Restitution, Inc.

One of the group's main projects is the National Death Row Inmate Restitution Art Show, which began in January. On the group's web site, photos of the art and each participating inmate appear along with a personal statement.
