Dear Utah Business Community:

Humana is a health benefits company focused on innovative ways to engage our members in their healthcare and wellness. We strongly believe that the health and wellness of our members includes the health of their environment and communities.

We believe that everyone can and should contribute to the health of their community by giving back in way that benefits it in mind, body, and spirit. To model this philosophy, we just completed the second year with our Utah Benefits program--a ready example of how Humana of Utah is giving back to the community through a charitable competition designed to help a non-profit organization reach a milestone goal.

In 2009, non-profit, 501 (c)(3) organizations across the state of Utah had the opportunity to receive a $100,000 grant to transform themselves and make a significant impact on the community. The winner was chosen by a panel of highly-respected community and business leaders representing a cross-section of Utah.
