All writings of this twelfth-century Madhyamaka philosopher were thought to be lost. A unique handwritten manuscript of this text was acquired by Leonard van der Kuijp, it is not said from where, and a photocopy-reduction provided to Helmut Tauscher. The manuscript consists of some forty-five folios with numerous internal additions and corrections.
