One of David Springate's favorite quotes is from "Invictus," by British poet William Ernest Henley: "I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul." Invictus is Latin for "unconquered." Of the quote, he says: "To me, it says others can't take away your victories or dictate the terms of your success--only you, the individual, can."
