West Virginia native Jennifer Garner, star of the recent blockbuster Daredevil, is best known for playing Sydney Bristow on the spy series Alias. UPFRONT spoke to Garner about her years before she battled bad guys.

As a child, what did you want to be when you got older?

I wanted to be a librarian and a poet. The school librarian would let me shelve the books and set up the card catalogue. I thought it was the most romantic thing in the world to be surrounded by books.
