D. Environmental Cleanup

A state tax credit equal to 50% of the expenses of the cleanup of a Brownfield Site is available to a non-responsible party undertaking the cleanup. The cleanup must be pursuant to the Brownfields Voluntary Cleanup Program.⁶ The credit is capped at $50,000 per year and any unused credit, up to $100,000, may be carried forward five (5) years. An additional credit of 10% of the total cleanup cost, up to $50,000, is available in the final year of the cleanup.⁷
