Cutting-edge technology used by students to film psychological thriller.

Hollywood hasn't called them yet, but when it does, some HPU students will already have the experience of working on a high-tech movie set after completing a semester-long project of producing a movie from start to finish.

Several students in the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication, as well as students from the Department of Theatre, worked together to produce "Connected," a film written by Jim Goodman, assistant professor of media production, and Ed Simpson, professor of theater. "Connected" is a "Twilight Zone" type of story about a student who is addicted to technology, according to Goodman, the instructor of the class. It tells the story of what happens to that student one night after an "overdose" of technology.
