This volume contains the majority of invited papers and all the papers submitted on the initiative of their authors, which were delivered at an International Conference on "The Great Jubilee and the Culture of Life." The Conference was held in July 2000 at Queens' College, Cambridge. It was planned principally as an occasion for Catholics with an active interest in the ethics of healthcare to respond to Pope John Paul II's invitation to celebrate the Great Jubilee of the Year 2000.
