Law firms of today look very different than in the past. With an increase emphasis on client service, process improvement, business development and pricing, there has been a shift in the way that professional staff in the business of law domain needs to work together. Many successful law firms have found that the most efficient and effective way to move forward has been to increase collaboration and become "one law firm" rather than a splintered group of highly competent professionals. These steps forward to strengthen the firm often necessitate cultural change.

LMA is dedicated to equipping our members for cultural and other changes they are facing while also strengthening ourselves to ensure we continue to be a beneficial community for our members.

In some ways, LMA's transition to a regional structure in 2017 reflects the same need for increased collaboration that firms are facing as we expand our reach across a wider range of professional staff in the legal industry. It is through regionalization and the collaboration across all local groups that we will protect the long-term sustainability of the organization and benefit for all members.
