OVERVIEW

Completed in August 2010, the design for this 340,000-square-foot structure was driven by the requirement to achieve LEED Platinum certification while being economically and socially accountable to the public. The interior design focused on the selection of environmentally responsible materials to create a safe and healthy work environment for employees, while incorporating building systems into a fully integrated design with a specific focus on optimizing energy performance. Recognizing that nearly half of their current work force would reach retirement age five years after they moved into their new space, the design team strove to create a space that would be attractive to future generations while comfortably accommodating employees today.

SUSTAINABLE FEATURES

[much greater than] Positioning private offices off of the building perimeter maximizes daylight penetration. This, coupled with strategic window glazing, gives exterior views to more than 90 percent of occupants.
