Crowley's Alaska fuel sales and distribution company, CPD Alaska, LLC, has completed its acquisition of Juneau-based Taku Oil Sales, Inc. Taku, founded in 1953 by Clarence E. Jacobsen, is a well known and respected local fuel company that has been serving the Southeastern Alaska community of Juneau for more than fifty years.

Jeff Hansen, president of Taku, and the Jacobsen family are leaving the oil business to pursue other interests. The company operates a 2.5-million-gallon bulk fuel storage terminal, a deep-water marine fuel dock, and two service stations in the Juneau area.
