External Communications and Dynamics Obtaining Information

The first and most obvious source of information about the debtor and the case is the debtor itself. The debtor should be invited to committee meetings to inform the committee about its business, financial affairs and efforts at reorganization, and should be available to answer whatever questions the committee might have that will help it to achieve its goals. The committee may designate certain of its members to visit the debtor's facilities, and may also have its accountant examine the debtor's books and records.
