For his services to Los Altos-area organizations, CalCPA has presented Dennis Young, CPA with its 2008 Public Service Award.

The award recognizes Young's quarter of a century of service to community organizations and adds to a long list of honors, which includes the 1994 Los Altos Chamber of Commerce Business Leader of the Year Award and the 2007 Housing Industry Foundation Summit Award for efforts to prevent homelessness in the Bay Area. Young is a founder of the Foundation and has served as its board treasurer since its organization in 1991. He recently became the Foundation's corporate secretary.
