The U.S. is crossing its fingers that Hi magazine, which hit newsstands across the Middle East this summer, will be a hit with young Arabs, ages 18-45. Published in Arabic and sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, the monthly, for-profit magazine has been designed to promote a broader, more positive understanding of U.S. culture in the Arab world. A section called "The Mirror" features celebrity profiles and topics ranging from education, technology, and careers to music, health, and sports.
