Tax Executives Institute and TEI Education Fund are pleased to offer the Advanced International Tax Course. Geared for tax executives with more than three years' experience in international taxation, the course will be offered from August 10-15, 2003, on the campus of Kent State University in Canton, Ohio. Because this top-notch program will not be offered again until 2005, you will want to register as soon as possible.

Year after year, TEI programs succeed because of the significant involvement of TEI members in both the planning and the teaching. The Advanced International Tax Course is no exception. Poring over the evaluations from previous courses, the planning committee fine-tuned the course to ensure that it stays focused on real-world issues.

What's more, the course is not a series of back-to-back lectures, but rather an integrated whole. The five-day program will open on Monday morning with an overview of managing your company's effective tax rate presented by Tim Tuerff of Deloitte & Touche, followed by a session on sourcing income and expenses by program veterans Ernie Aud and Anna Voortman of Ernst & Young. The lineup will also include expanded sessions on such important topics as financial products and foreign currency by Andie Kramer of McDermott, Will & Emery, and section 367 by John Peterson of Baker & McKenzie.

The course will build upon and refine the subjects offered at TEI's introductory tax course. Thus, there will be advanced discussions of the fundamentals--Subpart F, PFIC, E&P, and minimizing foreign taxes. In addition, the transfer pricing rules under section...
