County organizing 100 Plates event.

Richland County is organizing a new event called 100 Plates as part of October's celebration of National Community Planning Month. The event, organized by the county's Neighborhood Improvement Program and its Planning Services Division, will gather county residents around a table to share a meal and conversation focusing on collaboration and change.

The event, to held on Oct. 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Columbia Place Mall, is free, but registration is required to have a seat at the table. Registration is capped at 100 and ends Oct. 19.

Participants will discuss 100 things to love about Richland County as well as ideas for change to move the county forward.
