Alamance County didn't haul in the big catch, earlier this year--346 Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings jobs that will go to neighboring Guilford County--but it might get a consolation prize: a $27.6 million, 110,000-square-foot LabCorp building that isn't guaranteed to create any jobs.
