COSO meets at FEI N.J. headquarters.

FEI, one of the founding sponsoring members of the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission, known as COSO, recently hosted a meeting of the COSO board at FEI's New Jersey headquarters.

FEI President and CEO Michael P. Cangemi and Senior Vice President Grace L. Hinchman greeted the COSO board and shared views on various matters.

Separately, COSO plans to issue an Exposure Draft (ED) in January of its proposed guidance on Monitoring Internal Control. All companies required to, or voluntarily assert to the effectiveness of their internal controls under Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 using COSO's internal control-integrated framework should consider commenting on the Monitoring ED. Additionally, companies that apply the COSO framework without regard to Sarbanes-Oxley will also be impacted.
