The Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO) continues moving forward in developing guidance on the monitoring component of internal control. The initial phase of the guidance is expected to result in a Discussion Document, followed by publication of cases and examples. After a public comment period, the guidance is expected to be finalized by early 2008.
