Our September story on the upcoming state legislative elections, "Election 2000--the States Are Crucial," contained an error. The chambers in Wisconsin were reversed. The article should have stated, "The Democrats have a one seat margin in the Senate, while Republicans control the House by an 11-seat margin."

The chart accompanying the article also contained a couple of errors. In North Dakota, there are 49 House seats up for election, not 90. The New Mexico House is split 40 Democrats to 30 Republicans, not...
