The October issue of The Progressive reports that I have "written a book, Quitting America: The Departure of a Black Man from His Native Land, explaining the reasons for [my] relocation. Robinson hasn't completely quit the United States, though," The Progressive asserts. "He still maintains a home in Virginia and comes back often for visits." (Interview by Amitabh Pal.)

I am PROFOUNDLY disturbed by this. Quitting America provides an in-depth explanation of why my family and I decided to leave the United States.

For The Progressive to state that I have not really left at all, and indeed still own a house in Virginia, to which I make frequent visits, is quite unforgivable.

The home my family owned in Virginia was sold in 2001--before we moved to St. Kitts.
