I've been a fan of Jim Lehrer for years. I like Margaret Warner, Gwen Ifill, Ray Suarez, and the rest of the gang. I do, however, have a beef. It is their failure to take on ethanol, the fuel made from corn. Recently in a segment about the pending energy bill, there was not even a hint that there might be something wrong with the bill's enormous subsidy for ethanol.
