A new content-rich website: more information, more often.

In the early 1990s, Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web, an Internet-based hypermedia initiative for global information sharing while at CERN, the European Particle Physics Laboratory. According to www.internetworldstats.com, as of March 31, 2009, there were more than 1.6 billion Internet users worldwide comprising nearly a quarter (25%) of the world's population--more than triple the number reported in 2000. Websites are crucial to information delivery--it takes a click of a mouse to research medications, statistics, companies, places of interest, and much more.

It is because of this driving need for more information that ARMA International launched in September a new, content-rich website to complement our print version of Information Management magazine. Check it out at http://content.arma.org/imm.

In a recent study conducted by ARMA International, Information Management magazine ranked second among programs and services our members use the most to learn the nuts and bolts of records management. Thank you for your loyalty! The new website will add to the value you have placed on the magazine and provide further resources to help your career.

This exciting new site boasts online versions of Information Management articles, industry resources, and an archives search function for finding past articles by title or subject. Most importantly, it offers web-exclusive columns and features, including a special section on "RIM Going Green" to promote the green initiatives under way by the records and information management profession.

The times are changing, and this new forum will allow ARMA International to be more responsive to emerging trends and hot topics than is possible through just the bi-monthly print magazine. Our online contributors will bring the most up-to-date...
