Conniff too hard on Obama.

You'll have to excuse me, but I have been around for over eighty years and no one has ever excused me of being naive or biased. President Obama's military policy bears no resemblance to his predecessor's, no matter what Ruth Conniff says ("The Bush Playbook," October issue).

And Ruth, bless her, I still like ladies, but not when they write as if they had something to say.

"The President has disappointed progressives," she writes. Says who?

I would love to have read of some names because in my opinion, the reverse is more accurate. In all of my years, I have never known of a President who lacked the support of his own party more so than Obama. The lady from San Francisco and her counterpart the Senate are virtually worthless in light of the opposition's intransigence.

Mentioning the President's support from Wall Street is also absurd. In a Presidential election, you get the money from wherever it is to be found. At least he has not allied himself with folks like the Koch brothers, who are out to make...
