A hands-free, digital radio for armored personnel carrier and tank crews permits unencumbered communication in and out of vehicles. The VIC-500 vehicular intercom system, developed by Tadiran Communications, allows a crewman to keep in touch with his mates from as far as 800 meters away from the vehicle.
A spokesman said the VIC-500 was spurred by "today's digital battleground demands for greater freedom of movement and optimized coordination."
