Company investing $10 million in Westminster expansion.

ACI Plastics, a thermoplastics processor and recycler, plans a $10 million expansion to its operations in Oconee County. The company will partner on the project with PreZero, arecyclables manager.

ACI Plastics has been involved for 30 years in separation technologies for paint removal from plastics. The company also offers services in compounding, blending, plastics separation and logistics, according to its website.

PreZero provides end-market solutions to waste generators and collectors, according to a news release from the S.C. Department of Commerce. The company builds and operates facilities that convert organic waste, plastics and paper into raw materials and commodities.

Located at 2333 Sandifer Blvd. in Westminster, ACI Plastics' expansion includes the installation of new machinery and equipment for plastic recycling.

The expansion is expected to be complete in April of 2020, the release said.
