Should professionals mind the skills gap when applying for a position? In research from global staffing firm Robert Half, Meno Park, Calif., H.R. managers indicate that 42% of resumes they receive, on average, are from candidates who do not meet the job requirements. In a separate survey of workers, 78% admit they would submit for a role when they do not match all of the qualifications.

Luckily for applicants, 84% of human resources managers report their company is open to hiring an employee whose skills can be developed through training.
