PositionOccupational Health and Rehabilitation services

Community Health Network is an experienced provider of Occupational Health and Rehabilitation services. During the summer of 2003 our Occupational Health and Rehabilitation Program is celebrating 20 years of providing on-the-job health and wellness services to central Indiana employers and their employees. Since 1983 Community's program has partnered with area employers with a focus on the prevention and care of work-related injuries and illnesses.

Growing from a single clinic, employers and employees now have access to Community's nine occupational-health clinic locations in Indianapolis and Anderson, including two offering 24-hours-a-day service. The clinics are staffed with occupational-medicine-trained physicians and staff providing services such as:

* Workers' compensation injury care

* Substance-abuse testing

* Post-offer physical examinations

* DOT/CDL exams and related drug and alcohol testing

* OSHA medical exams and testing

* Vaccinations

* Occupational rehabilitation services

In addition to conveniently located clinics, many employers take advantage of Community's Onsite Health Management Program. The onsite program brings Community's medical professionals to the workplace and healthcare to the employees. More than half of the 150 occupational-health staff members spend their workday at such customer locations as International Truck and Engine, Visteon Corp., Dow AgroSciences and Roche Diagnostics. By contracting services at the workplace, employees have immediate access to health care and employers have less downtime and a cost-effective way to provide service for their employees.

One of Community's onsite customers recently wrote, "Just wanted to share the good news about our new Experience Modification Factor. Our new factor is 0.76...this translates to a 24 percent credit on our base premium...a savings of over $240,000."

The Occupational Health Program also links employers to the vast array of Community Heath Network tools available to assist in providing for employee health and safety. Some of the tools include ergonomic specialists, industrial-hygiene services, health-promotion services, mobile testing and a network of more...
