Eleven students recently scored big by receiving the National Broadcasting Society's "Top Video Sports Program" award as part of the organization's annual electronic media competition.

Students enrolled in Sports Production II, a course taught by Dr. Jim Trammell, assistant professor of video production, in the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication, produced the winning segment after learning various techniques for sports production, how to film sporting events and how to create compelling shows and feature stories. The winning segment included in-depth coverage of the fall 2010 athletic season, including the top live stories of the season.
