Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation Regulations: The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) recently issued final regulations under Section 409A dealing with nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements. Section 409A imposes requirements on elections to defer compensation, payments of deferred compensation and the use of certain funding vehicles. The final regulations are generally favorable, given the constraints of the statute.
