A former big-firm associate read this book and said it should be handed out on the first day to all new medium- to large-firm associates, along with the firm handbook, insurance forms, etc.

Alternatively, recruiters from these firms would distribute this book to all interviewees, to make sure this is the career path they truly want.

In the real world, however, the latter scenario is especially unlikely, since some of "Making Partner: A Guide for Law Firm Associates" will undoubtedly turn off a few of its readers.
