Evans & Sutherland, headquartered in Salt Lake City, released a new product for military training and mission rehearsal, the Mission Command Trainer (MCT), at the recent Defence Systems and Equipment International Exhibition (DSEi), in London. The MCT tactics simulator provides realistic command training, mission planning and mission rehearsal in a virtual environment against an intelligent virtual enemy, said product manager Rod Olsen.

Using real-world, high-fidelity databases, the MCT allows students to experience maneuvers and battles, while instructors observe and evaluate their performance, Olsen said. Each system features an instructor station networked together with as many student stations as needed. After-action review capabilities enable classroom debriefs of maneuvers.
