COMET seeks input into bus network redesign.

The Central Midlands Transit Authority is seeking public input into the future of a redesigned bus network.

Two concepts a coverage concept and a ridership concept are available online for public perusal at https://reimaginethecomet.org, part of a two-year planning study involving the COMET and its community partners. The existing network may be redesigned as early as 2022, according to the COMET website, with changes to every route possible.

The coverage concept would increase the area served by the COMET, though it could lengthen route times. The ridership concept would include frequent service in high-traffic areas but may not serve less-traveled routes.
