Columbia welcomes six new Mayor's Fellows.

Six Midlands students have been admitted into this fall's city of Columbia Mayor's Fellows program. The program allows undergraduate and graduate students to experience firsthand the operation of local government.

More than 200 students have participated in the Mayor's Fellows program. Applications are available for the spring semester.

The fall fellows are:

Samantha Auerbachof Stirling, N.J., is a sophomore at the University of South Carolina studying political science.

Patrick Dixonof Blythewood is studying marketing at Midlands Technical College.

Annie O'Halloranof Berkeley Heights, N.J., is a senior at USC majoring in international studies and double-minoring in Spanish and psychology.
