Colorado State University's College of Business can measure its success through the success of their students. The skills gained through the MBA program position graduates to rise to the top of their fields. "The biggest thing it did for me is give me the self-confidence to start my own company," said Ruth Benton, CEO, New West Management Services Organization, Inc., of Denver.

After completing his MBA, Richard Crawford of Fort Collins earned a three-level promotion at Hewlett-Packard. While many factors contributed to the advancement, having an MBA made a difference. "It shows the desire. If you can go out and earn an MBA while you are working, you can then work at this higher level job and put in the same enthusiasm, desire and contribution," said Crawford, procurement section manager for Hewlett-Packard.

To meet unique personal and professional needs of today's students, the College of Business offers the MBA degree in four delivery formats: accelerated, distance, evening and Denver-Executive. Prospective students who have an undergraduate degree in any field may apply for admission. The accelerated program can be completed in 11 months as a resident student. The other MBA platforms are designed to meet the needs of working professionals. The evening MBA is a 36-credit program that takes 22 months to complete. Classes meet in the early evening to minimize the impact on work schedules. "It started at 5:30, so you could leave work after a full day. It can be transparent to the workplace," said Crawford.
