REDESIGN

Welcome to our new look. We’ve spent the last several months recreating Colorado Lawyer to better ft the needs of readers. Email your feedback to hfolker@cobar.org.

The Cover

We’ve updated our nameplate using clean and current fonts and have increased the physical dimensions of the magazine. We’ll feature vibrant photos of Colorado on the cover of each issue (see our ad on page 98 to learn how to submit your photo).

The TOC

The Table of Contents has been reconfigured to clearly guide readers through the magazine. Our feature stories and departments have been organized into tidy columns with concise descriptions.

Departments

All of the departments in Colorado Lawyer have been designed with typography as the key element. Our primary goal is readability and classic style. We supplement our articles when possible with attractive artwork, sidebars to expand on key concepts, and pull quotes to guide readers to critical passages.

New Content

We’ve added several new sections that you’ll find throughout the issue. Under Oath, our closing piece, introduces readers to a prominent CBA member.

Nameplate

Our new nameplate (the logo on the cover of the magazine) employs subtle changes to create a fresh look for Colorado Lawyer. We’ve intentionally dropped the word “the” to reduce the number of elements. We’ve stacked the text to anchor it well on the cover, created a dynamic relation by increasing the size of “Colorado,” and have used fonts that are modern and...
