EDITOR'S INTRODUCTION
Colloquy on Restorative Justice Part 2:
School-Based Applications
Welcome to this Colloquy on Restorative Justice (RJ) in schools and higher education. This edition
includes both theory and practical implementation information designed to reduce aggression and
violence, improve student engagement, improve overall student wellbeing, bring needed culture
change to schools, implement social justice curricula, and introduce RJ into university dormitories.
Internationally, school leaders are realizing that students, parents and teachers all benefit when
they have the skills and processes in place to address transgressions against shared norms, communi-
cate deeply, and work together to create resilient individuals and school cultures.
This edition will be freely available online in order to maximize its impact. Please share it
widely.
Happy Reading!
