The Michiana region is home to the University of Notre Dame and 14 other college campuses, including Indiana University South Bend and Western Michigan University Benton Harbor.

Ivy Tech Community College, with locations in South Bend, Elkhart and Goshen, offers two-year degrees and industry certifications along with credit transfers to many four-year institutions. Goshen College offers a degree completion program for adults who already have some college education. Saint Mary's College offers an accelerated program in nursing. These are just a few examples of the many opportunities for higher education in Michiana.

Indiana has stepped up to provide displaced workers in the recreational vehicle industry with more than $10 million in aid allowing eligible workers up to $6,000 each to enter or complete an associate's degree program or certification in high-wage, high-demand occupations.

The University of Notre Dame brings many opportunities to the community.
